I built this infinity mirror for a 7 year old student at my school after her parent's purchased the opportunity at a fundraiser. Worked with the student and her parents to create a decoration for her newly decorated playroom.
I used a variety of materials to build the surround, including paper-mache and polymer clay. The frame was constructed and covered in (faux) gold-leaf.
The clock face comes off to reveal a little cubby for the remote which controls the LED lights in the mirror. Many little things are hidden inside and around the tree, with glow-in-the-dark details and surprises.
There is a tea party on the top, with a variety of pastries and cakes (real and imagined).
Unfortunately the 2-way mirror warped a little, but that just became part of the story of going "through the looking glass".
Rare sighting of a maker in its natural element.
